(Gul Shivnani) Suryakant and New Partner.

Nature played its role and Suryakant (divorcee) got attracted to a lady who used to meet him during travel to the fixed destination.  Mumbai trains you know na! how they are, Ladies compartment adjacent to male compartment. He had been watching her for some time now and started to develop feelings for her. She also responded with the same feelings. But they both did not had the courage to talk to each other for almost 5 months. Finally, one day Suryakant approached her and asked her whereabouts. She replied stating that she works in same building on 4th floor. She also noticed him.

One day she (Pranali) called up to check, whether he can accompany her to the MSEB office as she was facing the challenge for high electricity bill. Suryakant agreed and they met next day. Now he knew her address based on the electric bill. They went to the MSEB office and with his help the issue got resolved. On that day they had lunch together. During that time, she mentioned that she was married. That was a heartbreaking moment for Suryakant. After that he mentioned he is also married but contesting a divorce battle in the court of law. There was pin drop silence for some time, they moved out after lunch to their respective destinations.

Things were very quiet for almost 8 days, Suryakant did try to reach out to her but she avoided to talk to him. Finally, on the 10th day Pranali called up Suryakant and requested to meet in the evening on the same day. They met at a café and having tea and samosa’s. She confessed she was confused as she was not happy with her existing marriage and she wanted to seek my advice. She also mentioned that she has kids. This was another surprise for Suryakant, he really felt he has been ditched again. He just left the samosa, paid the bill greeted her and moved out. They did not talk to each other for almost a week. There were no calls by either of them. Suryakant received call from Pranali, not willing to speak to her still picked up the call and heard just 3 words. “I am sorry” and then she disconnected the phone. Now there were questions moving around in Suryakant’s head. Did she say sorry for disclosing that she was married? or about her kids? or any other reason? He did wait for some time and gave a call back around 7:00 in the evening. Pranali received the call and she said 3 words “I think, I Love you” and again she disconnected the phone. Now Suryakant is in a dilemma, he also has a disputed marriage but just dragging with it. Pranali is in the same boat but different deck. He decided to meet her and have a transparent talk about the seriousness of the new relationship.

So, they met for lunch after 3 days and he had told her everything about his family and the disputes that he had. They both felt a different kind of attraction towards each other. Suryakant was not serious though and thought “chalo timepass hai” and can pull till he can and then “dhekha jayega”. But Pranali was serious about what she was getting into. The age they both were in was not an adolescent but to be so called matured as Suryakant was in his late 30’s and Pranali was almost 30 at that point of time. But they both had family, with a battle in court of law. Over a period of time Suryakant realised it’s not just a matter of time pass, but Pranali was the girl he would have wished to be with. The challenge was her 2 dumplings (Kids), one of them was 8 years and other one was 2 years old. Would Suryakant happily give them father’s affection? if his DNA son turned up whether Pranali would also be accepting in similar way he had accepted her kids. There were lot of questions having a battle in Suryakant’s mind. Still, they took decision and moved ahead with their relationship. Suryakant’s son was taken away by his wife with no access to meet him. Time passed and Pranali’s children slow and gradually adapted to the situation and considered Suryakant as their father. Daughter did accept in totality but son who was the elder one had lot of difficulties, but finally they went along and lead a less disputed life.
